Questions before contributing
BudGuard is an education and photo-contribution portal. Uploading is voluntary and requires rights and privacy consent.
Do I need to know the exact disease?
No. Choose UNKNOWN if you are unsure, then add notes and symptom tags. A best-effort label still helps when paired with confidence and context.
Are healthy photos useful?
Yes. Healthy plant photos help future models learn normal tissue, lighting, and growth-stage variation.
Is precise location required?
No. Country is optional and recommended only for broad context. City is never required.
What happens to metadata?
Images are processed to remove EXIF metadata before storage where the local intake path is used.
Can I be contacted?
Only if you optionally provide an email for follow-up. The upload still works without contact details.
